Decent value for a quick trip

I needed to get across town fast and saw Jump had some scooters around. Used the new user discount, which was nice for my first time. It brought the cost down significantly. The e-scooter ride was fun and saved me from calling a cab, which would've been more. Felt like I got a good deal for the convenience.

Quick way to get around

Needed to meet a friend across town and grabbed one of those JUMP pedal assist bicycles. It was super easy to find on the map. Just scanned it with my phone and off I went. The bike rode nice, made the trip pretty quick. No fuss at all, definitely beats walking or waiting for a bus. Pretty solid experience.

Good e-bike experience

Rented an e-bike last week. It was easy to find one through the app. Rode it for about 30 minutes, no issues. The pedal assist worked well getting up hills. Finished the ride and locked it up easily. Pretty smooth overall.

Reliable for city commutes

I've used Jump bikes quite a few times now for my commute to work when I don't want to take the subway. This time I used a front basket e-bike. It was consistent with my previous experiences, the bike was charged, and the app worked fine. I like knowing I can usually find one nearby. It's a dependable option for getting around the city.

Easy ride, app could improve

I rented an e-scooter for the first time with Jump yesterday. The ride itself was great, very zippy and got me where I needed to go quickly. The integrated GPS tracking was useful. My only small gripe is the app was a little slow to load when I first opened it, took an extra few seconds than I expected. But once it loaded, finding and unlocking the scooter was straightforward. The price was fair for the distance.

Is JUMP better than Lime? I'm debating which one to use for my commute, pricing seems similar but wanna know about bike quality or app experience.

R Richard Flores 1 month ago
I've used both and honestly, JUMP bikes feel a bit sturdier. The pedal assist on JUMP seems more consistent for hills too. App is fine on both, no real issues.

Honestly depends on availability in your area. For me, Lime always has more scooters around so I end up using them. Jump bikes are good though if you can find one.

how fast do these JUMP e-bikes actually go? wondering if it's worth it for longer trips across town or just short hops.

M Mark Hernandez 3 weeks ago
They're pedal assist so you still gotta work a bit, but they can get up to like 15-20 mph pretty easily. Good for most city distances.

Depends on your pedaling but the assist kicks in nicely. Not a moped, but definitely faster than a regular bike without breaking a sweat.

My JUMP referral code isn't working for my friend. Any ideas why? She put it in the app but no credit showed up.

N Nancy Gomez 1 month ago
Make sure she entered it BEFORE starting her ride. It has to be in the app before the trip, not after. That's usually the issue.

Could be a new user thing. Sometimes those codes are only for brand new accounts. Also check if there's an expiration date on the code you shared.

Is it okay to ride JUMP bikes in the rain? Like, will they get messed up or is it safe?

S Sofia T. 2 weeks ago
I've ridden them in light rain, they seem fine. They're designed for city use so they should be somewhat weather-resistant. Wouldn't take it out in a downpour though.

Yeah, they're generally fine in the rain. Just be careful, slick roads and all that. The bikes themselves can handle it from what I've seen.

Hey, I'm new to this whole e-bike thing. Does JUMP have a student discount or anything for new users? Trying to save some cash.

W William Perez 3 weeks ago
Yeah, they usually have a first ride free deal when you download the app. And I think they do have a student discount, I saw something about it when I signed up last year. Check their site or the app's FAQ.

Definitely a first ride free option, that's how I started. Not sure about a specific student discount, but there are always promo codes floating around for new users or referrals.
